Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble (EHCI research group)

Engineering Human-Computer Interaction (EHCI) research group is one of the 24 research teams of the Grenoble Informatics Laboratory (LIG). EHCI is primarily concerned with the software aspects of Human-Computer Interaction. Its mission is to define new concepts, models and tools for designing, implementing, and evaluating interaction techniques that are effective, usable, and enjoyable. This group has extensive experience in software architecture for interactive systems, multimodal and mixed reality interaction, context-aware distributed and migratory user interfaces.

Zhuzhi Fan is a PhD student at Grenoble Alpes University. His work aims at leveraging new programmable materials for HCI.

CĂ©line Coutrix is researcher at CNRS. Her work addresses physically reconfigurable devices, and targets both end-user and designers of such shape-changing interfaces.

Physique et Mécanique des Matériaux Hétérogènes

PMMH (Physics and Mechanics of Heterogeneous Materials Laboratory) is a ESPCI/CNRS/SorbonneU/PArisU laboratory interested in solid, fluid and bio-mechanics. The group involved in this project has developed pneumatically activated shape-changing thin materials (baromorph) that circumvent usual geometrical limitation.

Benoit Roman is a researcher at CNRS. He works on the mechanics of slender structures (folding, capillary sticking, crumpling, tearing) and on programming their morphing by building internal stresses.

Dominique Peysson

Dominique Peysson is an independant visual artist and researcher, after having been a scientist in materials science. She proposes installations, videos and performances using "responsive" materials, for an interactivity with the public or the environment.
